Reportedly two C-17's have served as "Air Force One" while transporting the President of the United States - C-17A 88-0266 on 12 January 1996 and C-17A 95-0106 on 22 December 1997.
The "Air Force One" designator is used on any aircraft that transports the President of the United States of America
